Today is the first day ~ Bennett Sculpture Carmel ~ Gallery Blog ~ by Debi Bennett. My hope is that this will be a good way to reconnect with the 50,000 + Collectors who have wondered "what ever happened to Bennett Sculpture"? I'm here to tell you that the legacy continues and Bennett Sculpture is back.
Bennett Sculpture Carmel was opened in August and it's official Grand Opening was held in September. The enthusiasm coming from our Bennett Collectors (who happen to unexpectedly 'stumble' into the gallery) continues to inspire and motivate. As today is no exception, I have met some very special Bennett Collectors who have shared their personal stories. My goal is to pass these stories on and connect with Bennett Collectors, with their own special stories to share. Artwork is such a personal and emotional experience. Those of us who have been affected by Bennett Sculpture are connected in these emotions. My dream is to make that connection with as many of you as possible ~ and to share those special experiences.
As the story goes... I was married to Bob Bennett for 25 years. We built our Bennett Foundry in Placerville, CA, and opened over 20 galleries throughout the country. Sadly, we lost Bob in 2003 and the Bennett family had to do a lot of reorganizing. Bob Jr., his wife Alice and I started, what is now Bennett Gallery and Awards. This turned into a wonderful family business of creating unique, quality Awards for hundreds of special Companies around the world. Bob's sculpture designs worked into the perfect "fit" for many Special Awards. Bennett Awards has since evolved and now consists of a team of creative minds that make amazing custom Awards for all kinds of events.
As most of my life has been devoted to the promotion of Bennett Sculpture, I strongly felt the need to go back to my favorite Gallery location and return Bennett Sculpture to Carmel.... one more time. I was blessed to find the perfect business partner and surprised to find our previous Bennett Sculpture location sitting empty. So, as they say, "it was meant to be"!
